Afghanistan Rehabilitation Program (ARP) is a national, non-profit humanitarian and development organization established in 2006 and registered in Kabul, Afghanistan. ARP was founded to respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of Afghan communities while laying the foundation for sustainable development, peace-building, and community resilience.

With nearly two decades of operational experience, ARP works across multiple sectors including education, health, humanitarian relief, livelihoods, agriculture, food security, WASH, climate change adaptation, community development, emergency response, and peace-building. Our interventions are community-centered, needs-driven, and implemented with strong respect for local culture and social values.

ARP delivers services without discrimination, ensuring equal access regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, race, or social status.

Afghanistan Rehabilitation Program (ARP) specializes in charitable work and considers it the foundation of individual and community development. Through adopting developmental and social solidarity projects, the organization seeks to meet the basic needs of the community (urgent and ongoing needs), as well as to raise the cultural and educational level of families in order to achieve sustainable development.

Major Projects and Achievements

Since its establishment, ARP has successfully implemented 40+ large-scale humanitarian and development projects across Afghanistan, funded by reputable international donors and partners.

Highlights Include:

  • Construction and rehabilitation of schools, clinics, municipal buildings, parks, and public infrastructure

  • Emergency food assistance, cash-based transfers, and shelter support for returnees, IDPs, and vulnerable households

  • Agricultural resilience and productivity programs, including certified seed distribution, orchard development, agroforestry, and livestock support

  • Large-scale education and capacity-building initiatives, including a multi-year English Language Program for national institutions

  • Livelihood and income-generation programs benefiting rural and urban households

  • Ongoing Orphans Support Program (2025–present) focusing on education and protection

ARP has managed projects ranging from USD 10,000 to over USD 4.5 million, demonstrating strong financial, administrative, and programmatic capacity.

 ARP operates nationwide with active and past interventions in:

Kabul, Nangarhar, Kunar, Bamyan, Daikundi, Ghazni, Wardak, Paktika, Khost, Balkh, Sar-e-Pul, Herat, Ghor, Kandahar, Zabul, Badakhshan, Kunduz, Kapisa, Parwan, Laghman, Logar, Farah, and Urozgan.
