Afghanistan Rehabilitation Program (ARP)

Afghanistan Rehabilitation Program (ARP) is a nonprofit organization registered in Kabul, Afghanistan, providing health, education, humanitarian, livelihood, agriculture, food security, research, climate change, community development and recreational programs to people in need.

Established in 2006 to play a vital role in humanitarian and development settings, ARP contributes towards peace-building in Afghanistan — a country where people can live in amity and harmony.

Through education, members of society become self-reliant. ARP delivers vocational training, home renovation, agriculture and recreational programs that enable people to apply skills in their personal lives and workplaces.

ARP delivers all services to people in need regardless of gender, race, color, religion or social status.

Our Mission

ARP is committed to deliver Educational, Humanitarian and Community development services to people in need regardless of their gender, religion, race and social status in the best possible manner — serving Afghanistan's most vulnerable communities.

Our Vision

ARP specializes in charity works and considers it as a foundation of individuals and community development. Through adopting developmental and social solidarity projects, we seek to meet the basic needs of the community — both urgent and ongoing — as well as raising the cultural and educational level of families in order to achieve sustainable development.

Core programmatic guidelines for community development interventions across Afghanistan

Carry out programmatic interventions that lead to community mobilization, empowerment, participation and local resource mobilization at the grassroots level.

Assist communities in efforts leading to self-help and ultimately self-reliance through targeted development programs.

Support efforts promoting sustainable livelihoods, food security, micro-enterprise development and income generating activities for poverty-free communities.

Coordination of emergency shelter and non-food items distribution for displaced and conflict-affected populations across Afghanistan.

Coordination of education in emergencies and recovery programming — ensuring access to quality education for all Afghan children.

WASH Cluster Afghanistan

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programming for vulnerable communities, including safe drinking water, latrines and hygiene promotion.
