Since 2006, ARP has been delivering measurable change in communities across Afghanistan. From girls accessing education for the first time, to farmers improving their harvests, to orphaned children finding hope — every project leaves a lasting story. These are just a few of the thousands of lives ARP has touched across 18+ provinces.
Through ARP's Community-Based Education program, I completed my education in my village. Today I am a teacher myself, helping other girls in my community access the education they deserve. ARP gave me hope when formal school doors were closed to us.
Before ARP's seed enterprise program, our harvests were unpredictable and we struggled to feed our families. With the certified seeds and training from ARP, our yields doubled in the first season. My family now has food security and I even sell surplus crops at market.
The women's apprenticeship program gave me skills I never thought I would have. I learned tailoring and business management. Today I run a small tailoring workshop from my home, employing three other women from my community. Financial independence changed my life.
After losing both parents, I had nowhere to go. ARP's Orphan Support Program gave me shelter, education, and hope. I am now in 8th grade and want to become a doctor to serve my community. ARP didn't just give me support — they gave me a future.
Our village used to walk 4 hours each day to fetch water from a contaminated stream. Since ARP built our small dam and water system, we have clean water in the village. Waterborne diseases in children have dropped dramatically. This project saved lives in our community.
As a community health worker trained by ARP, I have been able to help hundreds of women in my district access maternal health services. Many women in our area had never seen a doctor. ARP's health program truly brought healthcare to our doorstep when we needed it most.
